Close to Beaches

There are two sandy beaches of first choice for this location (and numerous others to explore as well).
The first you can reach in only five minutes by car or in 20 minutes on foot: Clam Pass. Go to the public parking lot near the Registry hotel. From there, a complimentary trolley will give you a ride across a half-mile boardwalk through protected Mangroves to the beach terminal where you can walk the sandy beach, rent a lounge chair and grab a bite or a sip at the kiosk. Note the trolley winds down service after sunset, if you miss the last car you will have to exercise your legs back to the parking lot.
The other preferred beach for this condo is Lowdermilk Park with a long, beautiful beach and a beachfront fast food restaurant along with rest rooms. Parking there requires a beach parking permit which can be obtained for a nominal fee from City Hall (8th Ave. South & 8th Street); you would have to present your rental car papers and a confirmation from the Front Desk regarding the length of your registered stay at Park Shore. (The Permit will allow you to also park in all unmetered spaces of beach access roads in downtown Naples). Lowdermilk Park is best accessed by taking US-41 south to Banyan Blvd. which will take you across Gulf Shore Blvd. straight to the Park.

Other beach areas of interest are -

Delnor Wiggins Pass State Recreation Area, 111000 Gulf Shore Drive Naples Municipal Pier and Beach, 12th Ave. South - a landmark, parking may difficult Vanderbilt Beach, West end of Vanderbilt Beach Rd.
